SRINAGAR: To avert a repeat of Tuesday’s violent clashes amongst college students and police in Srinagar, the authorities suspended class work in 3 larger secondary universities and 7 schools of the metropolis on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in Pratap Park in the city centre, local youths which includes ladies on Wednesday held a protest versus the rape of the 3-yr-old female in Malikpora area of Sumbal in Bandipora district.
Scores of youths assembled at Pratap Park demanding money punishment to the perpetrator. They held up placards and banners that claimed, “Girls are not toys”, “No Mercy to Rapists”, “Enough is Plenty of, Prevent Rape”, and “We want Justice for the victim”.
Najlah Shah, just one of the protesters who came from Zakura, claimed the offender need to be supplied thanks punishment as for every the regulation.
“What has been happened with the sufferer is an inhumane act. The government must look into the situation on speedy-keep track of basis, so that justice could be sent to the victim,” she said.
